Elks Major ProjectsOklahoma Elks Major Projects

After only 2 years, Cadet Lawman Academy needed a sponsor. A presentation by Trooper Dale Beaty, the OEMP voted to sponsor Cadet Lawman.  Since then a great partnership has grown, the Oklahoma Elks Lodges have been active participants and have been extremely generous with their time and particularly with their money.

The OEMP supports a variety of other outstanding projects including Oklahoma Special Olympics, Hoop Shoot, Camp O'Leary (Diabetic Youth Camp), Valley Hope Treatment Center and Next Step Network, Special Camporee which is a Boy Scout Troop that allows handicapped individuals to experience the same exciting and fun activities that scouts do when they are at camp.  OEMP also fund many scholarship programs and the Oklahoma Elks Drug Awareness Program.

Since 1868, the Elks have been contributing to communities across America. The B.P.O.E. has, from the beginning, embraced the philosophy that fellowship and camaraderie are fine, but public service is the real mission. Elks members feed the hungry, help the disenfranchised, and protect widows and orphans. We salute the Elks for the generosity of spirit they have shown to the people of Oklahoma while reinforcing the Elks principles of Law and Order and service to God and humanity.

Oklahoma State Troopers Association

The Oklahoma State Troopers Association was chartered in 1975 with the help of Chief Jerry Matheson and Trooper Ealmer Klippel, who became the first president of the organization. O.S.T.A. members are active in the promotion of good law enforcement. They maintain a scholarship program for first year college students and fund the "Teddy Bear" program for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
O.S.T.A. funded the complete restoration of the 1937 Ford Patrol Unit, which is on display here today. The association recently purchased a restored 1937 Indian motorcycle to commemorate the "Flying Squadron" initiated by the patrol in 1937. The association makes a generous contribution each year to the Cadet Lawman Academy.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to O.S.T.A. for their efforts in making the Cadet Lawman Academy possible.
